Our Client is seeking an Equipment Technician for their Thousand Oaks, CA site. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years' experience performing operations and maintenance on utility systems and sterilization equipment in a cGMP Biotech/Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, repair, modify industrial washing, sterilization and surgical equipment and system components. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance required on various types of equipment from multiple manufacturers. Types of equipment may include but are not limited to hypobaric chambers, lyophilizes, dehydrogenation ovens, autoclaves, glasswashers, rack washers, tunnel washers, bedding dispensers, cart washers, clean steam generators and other types of equipment manufactured by Getinge (CASTLE), Steris (ASMCO), Tuttnauer, Thermodynamic Engineering other manufacturers. Verify correct sterilization cycles by checking and signing autoclave printouts and sterilizer load cards. Interface with other departments, including maintenance, metrology, and validation, to resolve issues related to equipment, processes, and compliance. Effectively operate and troubleshoot standalone PLC operations and decipher alarming codes. Perform steam quality testing and autoclave performance testing Ensures that safety regulations are followed at all times by all personnel. Perform hot work and complex lock-out tag-out on equipment. Provide direction to vendor partners as necessary. Identify potential problems and make adjustments to correct, or otherwise troubleshoot, formulate and execute solutions for corrective repair. Ensure that work requests and other documentation are completed promptly and accurately via effective and efficient use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System. Requirements : High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years' experience performing operations and maintenance on utility systems and sterilization equipment in a cGMP Biotech/Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. General knowledge of the following: principles and methods of sterilization, steam generators, industrial controls, central processing systems, modular transport systems and industrial washing equipment. Basic knowledge and experience with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the principles of sterilization. Possession of valid State of Driver's License. Effective communication skills Be able to read and understand P&IDs and wiring schematics. Ability to add, subtract, divide and calculate percentages. Perform the job successfully, and satisfactorily. Knowledge/operation of computers/windows-based software systems will be required. Day shift Monday-Friday, but must be able to move off-shift, weekends, holidays and able to respond to emergencies 24 hours/day

Our Client in the biopharmaceutical industry is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician for a temporary to permanent assignment at its San Francisco, CA facility. The Senior HVAC Technician will provide HVAC diagnostics and repair and perform general maintenance and repairs on all facets of the facility equipment and infrastructure including mechanical systems, critical environments, and utility systems. Responsibilities: Perform general maintenance on all facets of facility equipment and infrastructure to include but not limited to the following: mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, controls), temperature control systems, critical environments, steam generation, water systems, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, vacuum systems. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R equipment, walk-in cold rooms and freezers. Apply local HVAC codes in a practical manner on the job. Work with low voltage wiring. Perform brazing and/or soldering as needed. Preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial and process equipment, such as: Air handling unit operations Tensioning of belts, alignments, and replacement of bearings and sheaves Pump repair, rebuild and replacement Motor replacement and alignment and the various tools and techniques associated used Room pressurization Chilled water, cooling towers and chillers Refrigerators, freezers and incubators PLCs and chart recorders Schematics and the ability to read technical drawings Basic hand and power tools Perform all work using proper safety equipment and in a safe manner. Maintain service documentation via Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Performs equipment repairs. Maintains tools, parts, equipment and supplies in clean and safe condition. Ensures all work orders are completed on and closed with all appropriate documentation within the time constraints of the request. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service May be required to work overtime to meet deadlines. Work on-call, weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. Requirements: HS diploma or GED equivalent 7 years of commercial and/or industrial HVAC Experience in aseptic or GMP regulated manufacturing environment NATE certification is preferred but required EPA Refrigerant Certification (Type II minimum) Strong knowledge of systemic sequence of operations Knowledge of VAVs, VFDs and steam principles Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair Ability to lift 50lbs frequently Working knowledge of CMMS (prefer Maximo), Word and Excel Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment Valid state driver's license and good driving record In order to be considered for this opportunity, all qualified candidates must pass drug testing and criminal background checks.
