Exciting opportunities funded by an NIH T32 Institutional Training Grant are available to work on clinically relevant problems in the area of genetic and pulmonary medicine in the Department of Genetic Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. Topics include gene therapy (basic science, proof of concept, pre-clinical safety and efficacy, and clinical trials), pulmonary biology and medicine (transcriptomic and genomic effects of environmental exposures including smoking and air pollution, pulmonary diseases including COPD and IPF, basic biology and pathobiology of airway epithelium, endothelium, mesenchymal, and immune cells), bioinformatics relating to biology and genetics of human disease, and development of tools for analysis of human genomes).
