Qualitek Services has an immediate 6 months+ contract opening for an Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer with a Top Secret clearance in Gilbert Arizona (AZ) 85233

REQUIRED SKILLS

* Must be a US Citizen.*
* There is NO relocation assistance available for this position.*
* Must have (or within 2 years) an active DoD Top Secret clearance.*
* Potential for a Direct Hire position.*

The ideal candidate shall possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering plus 2+ years of related experience in the satellite/aerospace industry.

*Top 3: Follow through, planning, technical ingenuity..*

No design engineers.

Team: Mix of mech engineer and mech techs, lot of collaboration between depts. ~3 eng work w/directly and 6-8 techs.

The candidate should be capable of interpreting complex engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and specifications, must possess good technical writing skills, display leadership skills, and possess excellent interpersonal skills and written communication ability.

The candidate should have some experience in handling delicate components and should have a good working knowledge of manufacturing processes applicable to the manufacture of spaceflight hardware or equivalent.

The candidate must have the ability to support on time and on-budget product delivery by establishing and monitoring daily production goals, recognizing and reducing/eliminating non value operations, support lean principals for process improvements, and support performance metrics regarding quality, delivery, and cost.

Additionally, the candidate should be able to recognize, coordinate and/or support the resolution of anomalies and discrepancies (TF's & NCR's) and work with teammates (Engineering, QA, Management, Customers) towards prompt resolution.

Experience using MES is a plus and will be required for daily activities. This position may require off hour shift work, weekend work, and extended daily hours to meet production demands. Knowledge of basic 3D Modeling, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Tool Control helpful but not required. An understanding of ESD, FOD, and 5S processes desired. TipQA, Windchill, MES, Costpoint, and CREOView preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for Mechanical Integration & Test support on flight mechanical subassemblies and spacecraft integration & test activities at Corporates' Gilbert Az. Campus.
Operations are performed in a manufacturing production environment where I&T Mechanical Engineers coordinate and oversee mechanical build and production operations performed by the technical staff.
