Job Description
The Business Journals Ad Operations department is seeking a full
time Ad Specialist to join our team. The Ad Specialist helps set
the foundation for establishing successful print, event and digital
campaigns in order entry systems. This person will partner with
cross functional teams to deliver exceptional communication and
reporting to all stakeholders, providing support and oversight to
local and national markets. A successful candidate has a proven
track record of accuracy in data entry, an aptitude for learning
new systems quickly, and a strong attention to detail. Candidates
that are resourceful, engaging and want to help set goals,
directions and processes for departmental best practices will
thrive in this role.
Accurately process insertion orders by entering data into
required systems
Work with corporate billing partners to process credit and/or debit
Traffic all ads in the ad serving platform
Offer training support to local market administrative teams
Provide order entry support to meet billing requirements
Maintain functional expertise in advertising operations and other
infrastructure requirements
Work from multiple computer monitors for majority of work
Perform other duties as assigned
General understanding of print event and digital advertising
terms and business models
Customer service oriented with the ability to address client
concerns and needs in an expedient and courteous manner
Able to work quickly and efficiently to maintain service level
Meticulous attention to detail and excellent follow through
Ability to make a decision on how to process insertion order
exceptions within assigned deadlines
Manage type of revisions needed, making credit and/or debit
adjustment when necessary
Proficient in MS Office Suite, ability to master Salesforce and
Adbook systems
Extensive computer usage is required
Ability to work flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends
and holidays to meet service level agreement if needed.
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in media planning or data
