Our client, a market leader with a 30 year track record of innovation and profitability has a unique and exciting opportunity for a New Ventures Manager to spearhead their entrance into new markets. This is a start-up role exploring market opportunities that have been identified but not tested. Beginning as a sole practitioner to uncover these market opportunities, the role will migrate to tactically testing these markets though pilot projects culminating with the opportunity to play a central role in establishing new lines of business.
Your experience can be in any industry but should include experience with a start-up, new product group, greenfield operation, or other roles where you were responsible for taking loosely defined objectives and distilling them into well-defined deliverables. We seek entrepreneurial, independently motivated candidates capable of playing many roles (primary/secondary market research, competitor analysis, trade show/booth planning/attendance, research presentations, and product management participation). The most important personal attributes are the desire to aggressively go after opportunities, the willingness to be profit and loss accountable, strong business acumen, the organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, and the bandwidth to drive concrete results.
